Welcome to Sage Counselling Services

It can be hard to find the right words when you are feeling overwhelmed or distressed, and at Sage, we want to help people who are looking for an expressive approach that doesn't solely rely on verbal responses.

If this sounds like you - or if you've tried traditional talk therapy but haven't gotten the results you need or expected, please contact Sage on the link below or on 0449 531 924 for further information or an initial session.

All training and in-person appointments are held at the Sage Clinic, based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

some approaches used

The way that Andrea works is suitable for all ages, not just young people (even if it has play in the name!). These approaches are evidence based and many adult and adolescent clients have attested to their effectiveness in working with grief, trauma, depression, anxiety and other life challenges.

There may be no better way to communicate than through an image or symbol, especially those things we cannot define or understand. The Sandplay Therapy offered at Sage is based on the work of Dora Kalff, a student of Jung, and developed in the 1950's. There is extensive supporting evidence into it's effective use working with adults, adolescents and young people, on a range of issues. See the Approach page for further information.
Traditional talk therapy methods are also utilised when appropriate.

Please contact Andrea if you have any questions.
